Modularity, efficacy, and simplicity. These are Shanghai's strong features.
You can make linear compositions with modular lengths to fit any architectural context by adding a cylindrical transparent polycarbonate profile, a LED tube, and a radiant film (optional).
The Shanghai modular lamp has geometric shapes that are linear or intersecting, like the pieces in the well-known board game Shanghai, and illuminates space like a blade of light.

The Shanghai modular lamp was created with the intention of experimenting with light in space.
The goal can be accomplished thanks to the intersections and use possibilities.
The luminaire's simplicity makes it possible to put its components together to create a real lighting system.
How to compose Shanghai
The Shanghai modular luminaire can be mounted on a wall or ceiling or suspended from it.
Both situations call for the joints, transparent polycarbonate tubular profiles, and LED tubes.
If there is only one tubular profile in a single composition, you will need:
· two end joints (of which one with power cable)
· one transparent tubular profile
· an LED tube to be inserted in the tubular profile
· a canopy
In the case of a multiple composition, on the other hand, it is sufficient to also provide the intermediate joints.
The canopy
In white painted aluminium.
The tubular profile is a 142 cm long transparent polycarbonate module, the skeleton of your lighting composition. The core is inside, the LED light tube to be added.
The Shanghai lamp joints are either end or intermediate joints.
Only two end joints, one of which has a mains cable, are needed when selecting the design with a single tubular profile.
The intermediate joint must be inserted in the case of the multi-profile version, and depending on how many profiles the final configuration consists of, it may be done with or without a power cable.

Because of the available attachments, Shanghai is not only modular but also customizable, allowing you to have fun creating unique light patterns.
Radiant film accessory
The light effects it produces when inserted into the cylindrical profile are vivid and energetic. The space is decorated with brushstrokes of color, like a palette of bright colours, the more tubular modules you encounter.
Micro-perforated screens accessory
It is an additional device made of aluminum that may mechanically be used to decrease the light. As an alternative, the diffusing film serves the same purpose but more subtly to the sight.
