Alessandro Lucchi and Cristiano Biserni, architects, founded the Lucchi & Biserni Studio in 1998. The firm now works with a network of experts, including other architects and designers, whose expertise spans a variety of fields, including design, construction management, site management, and art direction.

Major clients include Mandarina Duck, Wella Labocos, Procter & Gamble, Martinelli Luce, Cappellini, Poltrona Frau, Cassina, Gibamshops, and Ghisa Mestieri, with whom he collaborates on an ongoing basis for the design of commercial spaces, crafts, trade fair stands, and design objects.

In 2002, the project for a Shanghai lighting system designed for Martinelli Luce was selected for the Compasso d'Oro.

Several shows, including those by Francesco Menzocchi, Felice Giani, The National Library of France, Eulogy of Evidence, and others, are curated by the studio, which deals with museum displays. Silvestro Lega, Maceo, Guido Cagnacci, Marco Palmezzano, The Art of Advertising, Science and Technology, Giò Ponti, Antonio Canova, Exhibition Flowers, Nature and Symbol from the Sixteenth to Van Gogh, and Mellozzo da Forl between Piero della Francesca and Raffaello are some examples.

The studio, together with the architect Jean Michel Wilmotte of Paris, was the designer for the San Domenico Museum Complex and won the competition for the re-functioning of the Palazzo del Merenda currently housing the Pinacoteca and Library of the city of Forlì, for which it presented the preliminary design.

Other realisations include the Restoration of Palazzo Marchesi (current seat of the Bishop's See), the restoration of the Chiesa delle Camminate, the redevelopment of the historical Baschieri & Pellagri company in Bologna, the room for temporary exhibitions in the ancient Cisterna della Rocca di Bertinoro, and a 3000 square metre Mega Store in the center of Forlì.

Architects and designers collaborate with the Studio including Michele De Lucchi, Michael Young, Marcel Wanders, J.M. Wilmotte, Angelo Micheli, Ulisse Tramonti, Arch. Stefano Stanghellini and Arch. Iginio Rossi. In 2001, the company Tredistudio was founded to create three-dimensional films and renderings for architecture and design.
