Born in Crotta D'Adda Cremona on April 20, 1959, he received his degrees in architecture and industrial design at the Politecnico di Design in Milan in 1984 and 1985, respectively.
He was one of the founders of the Solid group and a member of I Nuovi 12 Memphis in 1986. He was a partner in Studio De Lucchi from 1988 to 1998. His work with Michele De Lucchi persisted, and he also pursued independent scientific endeavors. Throughout his career, he has been recognized with honors and professional mentions in numerous publications, including Compasso d'Oro (2004), IF design award (2005), Pratum Magnum 2005 Comune di Monza, Design Index (2009), Good Design Award 2009 Chicago, and selection for the XXII Compasso d'Oro Award (2011).
Over his career, he has shown his artwork in galleries and museums including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, La Farnesina, Rome, Galleria Marconi, Milan, Galerie Ives Gastou, Paris, Palazzo della Triennale, Milan, Steel Case Design Partnership, New York, Centre Pompidou, Paris, Seibu, Japan, Grand Palais, Paris, Palazzo Lateranense, Rome, Biennale di Venezia, Venice, and others. lecturer for a number of years at the European Institute of Design in Milan, the University Institute of Architecture in Venice (IUAV) since 2000, and the University Institute of Architecture in San Marino (IUAV San Marino) since 2011.
