Light that weighs
Grammoluce is a table lamp with diffused light that transforms light into a physical, almost living experience.
The switching and dimming system is unique: the light is switched on and modulated by the weight of three satin-finish glass spheres, which are placed on the surface of the lamp.
The spheres, which vary in diameter and weight, act on an elastic Lycra fabric stretched over the circular edge of the borosilicate glass structure. When placed on the lamp, the fabric deforms, creating a soft, dynamic surface that diffuses the light evenly and in ever-changing ways.
The elasticity of the Lycra fabric stretches according to the weight of the satin-finish glass spheres, creating different lighting scenarios.
Lightweight or heavyweight. Numerous nuances in between.
Small, lighter spheres generate a warm, gentle light. Larger, heavier spheres produce a cooler, more intense light. Combining multiple spheres modulates the lighting scene, allowing you to switch from more intimate to more lively settings.
Each combination of spheres generates a unique and unrepeatable shape, transforming the lamp into an interactive object that combines matter, light and gesture.
The ball bearing base. For this, we chose a new generation of sustainable surfaces - a living material sculpted from PaperStone®, made of recycled paper, vegetable resins, and natural pigments.
PaperStone® is FSC® certified, formaldehyde-free, and VOC-free. Made from 100% recycled paper and PetroFree™ plant-based resins, with natural pigments replacing chemical dyes. As strong as steel, as beautiful as stone. Each slab is unique.
“The idea is to connect two seemingly independent concepts through the experience of use and the transformation of form, creating a unique aesthetic and poetic experience.”
