From 2 to 6 September 2021, the city of Genoa will celebrate jeans through art, fashion, music, and cinema, with a rich programme of conferences dedicated to sustainability and exhibition initiatives spread throughout the territory, able to involve a wide audience of all ages, from baby boomers to gamers and millennials. The first edition of Genova Jeans will tell the story of the role of Genoa and Italy in the birth and development of the most widespread garment in the world, an icon of Pop culture.
On the occasion of the event, Martinelli Luce will illuminate the ArteJeans exhibition, a contemporary art exhibition project that involves twenty-six Italian artists of different generations and languages, conceived by Ursula Casamonti, owner and founder of Tornabuoni Art London, and Francesca Centurione Scotto, Genoa's ambassador to the world, in the former Metelino warehouses in the city's port.
To illuminate the works in the exhibition, the company selected products from its Architectural catalogue: some aerial compositions of the Mamba system, a multiple arrangement of Lunaop suspensions and the Sistema U and R19 spotlight families.
