When light becomes part of the show.
Some collaborations arise from a project. Others, however, stem from the coming together of people who share the same passion. That is exactly how this World Cup project for the Belgian public broadcaster RTBF came to life.
The goal was to light a television studio and create an atmosphere that would tell a story. Every light source, every reflection, every detail had to contribute to giving depth to the image, highlighting the protagonists, and conveying emotions to millions of viewers.
The project evolved through teamwork among the production team, the directors, the interior designers, the director of photography, Martinelli Luce, and Hugo Neumann. Ideas and expertise merged into a single vision, giving life to a welcoming and instantly recognizable studio.
Multidot, Grammoluce, Tortuga, Avro, Colibrì, and Pipistrello became part of the program’s visual language, helping to create a strong identity.
This project demonstrates once again that light serves not only to illuminate a space but goes even further: when it arises from trust, active listening, and shared passion, it becomes emotion and memory.
Special thanks to Ben Weisgerber, director of photography, for his artistic sensibility, and to Hugo Neumann, who envisioned and made this collaboration possible.
