The seventeenth edition of the Lucca Film Festival starts on Friday 1 October until Monday 11 October, a hybrid edition between in-presence appointments (between cinema Centrale and Astra) and online platforms (My Movies and Festival Scope).
The first day will open with a selection dedicated to the great Russian master Aleksandr Sokurov. To the director, who will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Astra cinema, are dedicated the screenings of Toro and Il Sole, respectively the first two chapters of the tetralogy on power, at the Auditorium Fondazione Banca del Monte.
The first day will also include a tribute to Nino Manfredi, with the screening of "Brutti, sporchi e cattivi".
There will be many other appointments that will make this fifth edition of the Festival very rich.
Martinelli Luce, which has been actively collaborating for years with the organisation of Lucca Film Festival, will illuminate specific spaces with the Biconica Pol floor lamps by Emiliana Martinelli and will donate prizes to the winners of the festival and to those who will receive the lifetime achievement award.
