Martinelli Luce participates in the third edition of Lake Como Design Festival

From 6 to 10 October 2021, the city of Como will host the third edition of the Lake Como Design Festival with the aim of supporting and enhancing, through cultural actions on the territory, the beauty of its lake and its artistic and architectural heritage.
The aim of this cultural project is to promote, in Italy and around the world, all the quality of an area that has always had a strong identity. As part of the event, Marco Sammicheli will curate the group exhibition "History Repeating. How designers look at history" at the Teatro Sociale in Como.
The exhibition investigates the history of modern and contemporary design as an archipelago of islands to be navigated and will try to highlight how designers and companies look at the past and how it can be a project theme rich in nuances.
Martinelli Luce will be present with the Profiterolle lamp designed by Sergio Asti (1968), an iconic product inspired by the famous dessert and composed of two methacrylate and polyester shells with fibreglass, characterised by an elegant combination of solids and circles, which continuously embrace and chase each other.
