On Saturday 15th May Martinelli Luce "opened" its doors to the FAI Spring Days.
A series of appointments of national importance that saw the opening of more than 600 different locations including museums, churches, historical buildings, archaeological sites, but also production facilities of particular architectural, historical or cultural importance, as was the case for Martinelli Luce, an Italian and international leading company in the field of lighting desing.
The series of guided tours involved a demanding but also stimulating task for the architect Lucilla Benvenuti, head of the FAI delegation of Lucca, who in the meeting with the production reality of Martinelli Luce, interfaced with the architect Emiliana Martinelli, president of the company.
Given the particular period, it was not easy to organise the guided tours for groups with a limited number of participants, which went pleasantly through the exhibition, including historical lamps, drawings, various prototypes and news covering the company's 70 years of activity.
Everything has taken place in accordance with the procedures and protocols implemented following the current pandemic.
The visit then continued in the green area surrounding the factory, outlined by the Piscilla canal and characterised by an impressive giant bamboo reed bed.
The event was also attended by the Mayor of Lucca, Dr. Alessandro Tambellini, who is always attentive to the production realities of the territory, accompanying some groups on their journey to get to know Martinelli Luce and its products.
We would like to thank all the staff and the attentive and discreet presence of the Red Cross, Civil Protection and Carabinieri, who ensured that the event was carried out in an orderly and safe manner.
