BUONE NUOVE: Women Architects of Change stop a Montréal
February, 2025

The international exhibition BUONE NUOVE: Women Architects of Change makes its way to Montréal after stopping in Stockholm, Doha, New Delhi, Berlin, and Toronto. The Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) Centre de design is hosting the exhibition in association with the Italian Cultural Institute in Montréal and the MAXXI Museum in Rome.

The project highlights the contributions made by women who have had a significant influence on modern and contemporary architecture. A choral story that aims to inspire future generations and highlight the contributions of women in the field by providing insight into the development of architectural practices.

There are four primary sections to the exhibition. Among these, "Histories of italian architects" describes the contributions of 21 female professionals who have boldly and innovatively reinterpreted architecture and design. One such professional is Gae Aulenti.
