Slo Coffee's new location at the CF Pacific Centre in Vancouver posed a specific design challenge: defining the bar counter space with a luminous element that would complement the interior's curved geometry without overpowering the sought-after atmosphere of the establishment.

The architecture firm RSAAW and our partner Above90 Lighting therefore chose our Mamba pendant lamp.

Its flexible design and smooth shape made it possible to hang the lamp in a way that follows the soft curves of the bar, fitting well with the layout of the space. It is a line that expands and strengthens the existing architectural decisions, not an extra supplement.

In terms of lighting performance, the project required diffused and comfortable light with a warm color temperature and smooth dimmability control to adapt to the venue's changing usage throughout the day, from the morning coffee break to the nighttime break.

The Mamba lamp satisfies both requirements: incisive presence and technical performance in a single system. Because of its flowing form, light could be sculpted around the bar to create movement and keep the room cohesive.

As a result, lighting is perceived as a consistent component of the overall perceptual quality rather than as an autonomous element.
Many thanks to Above90lighting!
