He moved to Foggia at the age of 19, leaving his birthplace of San Giovanni Rotondo to pursue his studies in industrial design in San Marino. Following graduation, he relocated to Florence to pursue a specialty in product design and began employment with a nearby business.
He made another "design choice" at the age of 26, which resulted in his entering the convent and donning the Friars Minor's habit. He still incorporates design into his daily life - or rather, the daily life of his community - through prayers, fraternal life, and other activities.
He believes in design that solves problems, that is invisible and discreet that brings people together and creates inclusive environments. He also supports bilingual design that is able to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences and develops from and moves toward relationships. It is an advocate of excellent design.
